The hotel "House in the Castle" is located within the areas of the Castle of Monemvasia
Prefecture of Laconia; the whole settlement has been declared as protected area.
The hotel is situated behind the chancel of Aghios Nikolaos, on the way to the Eastern Gate.
The land clearing revealed ruins expanding on 3 main levels as well as 2 cisterns.

enjoying the facilities of a house of the 21st century....
Ancient Greece has bequeathed many values to humanity.
Regarding hospitality, it is a principal that the host has a duty to make the guest feel at home.
This idea is the basis we set from the initial design until the completion of the "House in the Castle".Our four houses are equipped with unique furniture and interior design inspired from the feelings generated by the fortress town.
Each is unique and all together become prettier thanks to the castle.
We hope and wish every stay – accommodation to be special for everyone who wishes to spend their time here.
Τhe Castle of Monemvasia was built to keep the conquerors away and
nowadays it still maintains this part of its character.
The access within the walls is only possible on foot from the cobbled pathways.
Cars may reach the Gate.
You may leave your luggage there within a short stop, while during the months when there are many tourists
you may have to park your car even one kilometer away. The distance of the houses from the Gate is about 300 meters, that is to say 10 minutes away.
